There is a lot of talk about what kind of Legacy the 2032 Olympics will leave. Will it be positive? Will it be ambitious, and will its impact leave communities better?
The State government has recently announced its plan to spend a ludicrous $2.7 Billion to redevelop the Gabba. Unfortunately, the much loved East Brisbane State School, right next to the Gabba, would be lost as a part of the project.
This is devastating news for the local community and the many thousands of parents, teachers and students at the school who are committed to fighting for the school.
How can you help?
Parents, community members and supporters have banded together and kicked off a campaign to say: this growing neighbourhood needs its school.
