Accessible, Quality Parklands

Our neighbourhood is growing rapidly, and with more people living in apartments, residents and their pets deserve access to high-quality, well-equipped local parkland more than ever. But despite championing 90-storey towers in Kurilpa, neither Labor nor the LNP have a plan for building the new parks our growing population desperately needs. By repurposing old industrial sites on flood-prone land and building above rail corridors, we can create several hectares of new parkland without resuming a single home.

Local Priorities

♻️ Turn Tomra, Visy and Hanson industrial sites into new parks along Montague Road

🛤️ Using public rail corridor land for new greenspace at the Cross River Rail site, Woolloongabba, and on Gloucester Street, Highgate Hill

🐕 New dog park for Kurilpa, exploring options at Davies Park and Duncan Street, West End

🐨🌳 Upgrade Dutton Park and Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park with bush reserves and new facilities
