As many of you know, our community has been campaigning for a new Riverside Drive Dog Park near Beesley Street.
With the closure of the old park after the 2022 floods and contamination issues, West End was left with just one formal off-leash area, despite our growing population and thousands of local dogs.
That’s why I’ve been pushing Council to deliver a replacement dog park that meets the needs of our community. After years of advocacy, we now have a supported proposed location and a final design concept that we're excited to share with the community!
The meeting will give residents the opportunity to see the final design, ask questions and learn about the timeline with the goal of opening the park by mid-2026.
It's been a long journey to see this project through, and it's a great privilege to help deliver safe, accessible dog parks for the residents of Kurilpa.
I hope to see you there!
