You are invited to a community meeting, hosted by Max Chandler-Mather, Greens candidate for Griffith, to discuss reducing the speed limit along Richmond Road from 60 to 50km/h. We will meet at the Richmond Road side of Keralgerie park on Sunday 22nd May at 3pm.

I will be pressuring Brisbane City Council to reduce the speed limit. I believe that, at a minimum, the council should reduce the speed limit on Richmond Rd to 50km/hr. While this won't fix everything it will make the pedestrian crossing safer and generally improve pedestrian safety, while barely impacting travel times.

I would love to hear your thoughts on this and hear any other solutions you have to this problem. If we work together we can make sure our streets are safe for our communities and those that come after us.
