Election Shirts

We know that as many as 30% of likely Greens voters are making up their minds at the election booth. What they decide to do will be decided by what they see there. 

It may seem weird to people involved in politics with pretty strong opinions of how they will vote, but seeing a sea of Green on the booth and lots of smiling volunteers really makes a MASSIVE difference. It shows the strength of our movement.

We want our volunteers to stand out and proudly represent the Greens, and that's why we're planning to provide them with eye-catching election shirts. These shirts not only create a unified and professional look but also play a crucial role in making our presence known on the ground. 

Your contribution will go directly towards covering the costs of printing our Greens shirts.

The first $1,500 of membership fees and/or donations to a political party from individuals in a financial year are tax deductible. Donations of $1,000 and over are reportable to ECQ. A person who makes such a political donation must give ECQ a report in the approved form, eight weeks after the end of a 6 monthly period ie 31 December and 30 June.

In any 6 month period all political donations inclusive of membership fees above $1000 must be disclosed to the Electoral Commission of Queensland.

Political donations from property developers are banned in Queensland. Breaches of these bans can be punished by significant fines or imprisonment. The ban includes donations from the spouse of property developers, from related organisations and from individuals with significant interests in corporations involved in property development. By making this donation you confirm that you do not fall within the definition of property developer under the Electoral Act. More information is available here.
