A new development application has been lodged by Stockwell for a 16-storey residential tower at 33 Vulture Street, West End—on a site zoned for 8 stories. The proposal includes 132 apartments (none of which will be social or affordable housing) and ground-floor retail spaces.
I'm organising a community meeting to give residents an opportunity to get informed, ask questions, and most importantly, find out how you can help influence the DA approval process. We’ll discuss how this development aligns with the City Plan, what impacts it could have on nearby residents, West End SS, infrastructure, and livability more broadly—and how you can make a formal submission as part of the public consultation process.
You can find more information about what is proposed here. Click the link to the "Application Documents", some key documents include "Assessment Report" and "Proposed Plans".
Whether you’re a local, a nearby business owner, or simply care about the future of our neighbourhood, we encourage you to come along and be part of the discussion. Let’s make sure any changes to our community are shaped by the people who live and work here.
PS I strongly suggest you wait to make submissions on the DA until the public consultation period opens. Otherwise your submission won't be "properly made" and will not be as effective.
